Recently, the "Project Upgrading Functional food for Improving Cardiovascular&Cerebrovascular Functions and Osteoporosis"（2010AA023003）jointly proposed by Tiens Group and other eight organizations has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the P.R.C., and listed as a key item in the State High-Tech R&D Program (Program 863). Now the project is expected to start soon.
As China high-tech development plan, the State High-Tech R&D Program (Program 863) is sponsored and administered by the Chinese Government, and enterprises are encouraged to participate in the Program. To join the Program, however, businesses will have to go through a series of rigorous assessment on their R&D capacity and potential by the Government and other competent agencies; therefore, only a few leading companies could be qualified to undertake projects in the Program.
As the leader in China healthcare industry, Tiens Group has once again proved its R&D excellence by going through all evaluations and made outstanding performance in contrast to its competitors, and Tiens Group has finally been entrusted with the part of upgrading functional food for improving osteoporosis in the above mentioned project, as well as a share in the R&D of antioxidant food.
