On 20 December 2008, the award ceremony for the choice and appraisal of the " List of Top 100 Leading Persons in China's Ecnomy in 30 Years of Reform and Opening up" was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where more than 80 well-known entrepreneurs, over 100 representatives of well-know enterpreneurs and more than 200 elites in avrious industries gethered together to witness the passion and glory of 30 years' development of China's economy. Li Jinyuan, President of Tiens Group was invited to parcitipate in the award ceremony and was awarded as one of the Top 10 Leading Persons in Light Industry in 30 Years of China's Reform and Opening up.

The activitiy of choice and appraisal of List of Top 100 Leading Persons in China's Ecnomy in 30 Years of Reform and Opening up was lauched jointly by national authoritative mediums, famous experts from more than 40 first-class academic institutions of economy and relevant government sectors.
President Li Jinyuan was received by Cheng Siwei, vice-chairman of 10th National People's Congress.
The choice and appraisal was based on the principles of "Equity, Justice and Openness" by adopting such standards as "Influence, Promotion and Innovation" and rejecting any commercial factors. An expert panel for appraisal composed of more than 40 authoritative scholars, leaders of mediums and public figures at home and abroad was set up for this choice and appraisal.Based on recommendation of the candidates by the expert panel, hundreds thousand of e-friends from WWW.People.com.cn and more than ten thousands of readers of China economic weekly actively took part in voting, and the prize-winners of the Top 100 Leading Persons in China's Ecnomy in 30 Years of Reform and Opening up was finally chosen one year later.

On the award ceremony, the sponsors formly promulgated the " List of Top 100 Leading Persons Influencing China's Economy in 30 Years of China's Reform and Opening up" before more than 200 mediums at home and abroad including the People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency and China Central Television. The awarded enterprises expressed their wishes to accomplish new achievements in the future one after another in the ceremony.
