Press briefing on TIENS-CISCO cooperation successfully held
On January 11, 2010, the “Join Hands to Advance Development – News Briefing on Cooperation Strategies between Tiens Group and Cisco Systems” was held at the Park Hyatt Beijing Hotel in Beijing Yintai Center. The two parties jointly declared the official inauguration of network platform of Tiens International Health Industrial Park, and the cooperation strategies are formally agreed on. Mr. Li Jinyuan, Chairman and President of Tiens Group, and Mr. Lin Zhenggang, Vice President of Cisco Global and President and Vice Chairman of CISCO China attended the briefing and the signing ceremony. Also present at the event were Mr. Yan Yupeng, Vice President of Tiens Group, Ms. Jiang Zhenglin, General Manager of TIENS’ Global Information Center, Mr. Zhang Ke, Director of President’s Office of TIENS, and Mr. Zhang Yunjie, Vice President of CISCO China. 
 
The News Briefing
At the briefing, President Li Jinyuan gave an introduction to Tiens Group: in the last 14 years, TIENS, as a domestic company, has evolved into a global player with business in over 190 countries and regions and branches in 110 countries and regions around the world. The business of TIENS covers biotechnology, education, retail, tourism, finance, international trade, e-commerce, etc., and combines industry capital, business capital and financial capital. He also stressed the important role of Tiens International Health Industrial Park as a comprehensive international park that encompasses R&D, pilot scale experiment, large scale production, international logistics, international marketing, international training and international tourism. He then introduced Tiens Group’s “International Health Management Center”, which boasts state-of-the-art design and the latest equipment and has powerful functions and great market prospect in terms of rehabilitation health care and providing services and facilities for international conferences. After that, he envisioned the bright future of the “Tianshi International University”, the construction of which is set to start soon. The university will cooperate with renowned Western universities, integrate resources of enterprises, universities and research institutions, form multiple project incubators, and provide momentum for the development of Tiens Group. Finally, President Li Jinyuan emphasized that Tiens Group has a particular focus on the health industry, pays meticulous attention to human health and is committed to providing people with “a beautiful, happy and joyous life”. His speech was well received by attending media.

CISCO China President Lin Zhenggang said in his speech that Tiens Group is one of the few domestic companies that have truly global operation. He expressed his appreciation for TIENS’s pioneering development concepts and achievements in IT adoption, saying the informatization of TIENS has set standards for the industry and the Tiens International Health Industrial Park is a globally leading industrial park. He said that as a world leading internet solution provider seeking to improve the way in which people connect, communicate and cooperate, CISCO has a wide range of products, outstanding abilities in risk control and unrivaled experience in serving the world. He believed that the cooperation of the two leading companies will provide TIENS’ network management platform with information-based scientific management methods and help integrate TIENS’ global operation, and that there is great prospect for further cooperation.

TIENS Vice President Yan Yupeng briefed the journalist on TIENS’ achievements in informatization, the background of the strategic cooperation and the prospects for future collaboration between the two parties. Tiens Group has always adhered to globalized development strategy and paid great attention to the informatization of the group, meanwhile it sees informatization as a powerful tool for improving the vitality and competitiveness of the group and a breakthrough for realizing global operation. The group has invested close to one billion yuan in corporate informatization and established excellent cooperative relationship with many world renowned software and hardware providers and consulting companies. As a result, the informatization of Tiens Group has set standards for and promoted the health care products industry. There is great prospect for cooperation between Tiens Group and Cisco Systems on a global basis and possible areas of cooperation includes: construction of information infrastructure, joint establishment and operation of regional data center, planning of the information system of Tianshi International University, joint education programs at Tianshi University and the IT service outsourcing of TIENS’ overseas branches. After that, TIENS President Lin Jinyuan and CISCO China President Lin Zhenggang signed an agreement at the ceremony, thus announcing the start of the close cooperation between the two global enterprises. The two companies will join hands to advance mutual development. The cooperation has laid a solid foundation for TIENS’ expansion in international markets and the establishment of its excellent global brand; it will also help TIENS provide better services to worldwide consumers.
