The Brand Value of Tiens Group Tops RMB 11 Billion


TIENS again Listed in the Brand Value Ranking of the World Brand Lab
June 28, 2010, the World Brand Lab (WBL), the world-renowned brand value assessment organization, held the 2010 annual world brand conference in JW Marriott Hotel Beijing and promulgated the ranking of 2010 "Top 500 Most Valuable Brands of China". With the brand value of RMB 11.058 billion, Tiens Group was ranked No. 71 of all, No. 1 of health care products and No. 1 of Tianjin. Vice-president Wu Yiqun attended this event as representative of President Li Jinyuan and Tiens Group.
As an authority of brand assessment adhering to the principle of "independence and justness", the WBL has always been leading in academic researches with its BVA method that is geared to the "Economic Use Method" popular at present. This value assessment participated by Tiens Group was organized by the WBL, who was also responsible for data analysis. In order to ensure the correctness, reliability and availability of data, all statistical data were sourced from reports of enterprises, market surveys and reference materials of relevant authorities, etc.
Tiens Group participated in this assessment in 2008, when it was ranked No .1 in the health care products industry and No. 1 in Tianjin with its brand value of RMB 7.739 billion. Two years have passed, despite of the macro environment of the global financial crisis, TIENS has achieved rapid growth with President Li Jinyuan's guidelines of "management philosophy, sophisticated management and meticulous service", which has made the industry focus more on TIENS; TIENS has participated in a number of influential brand campaigns and has won multiple authoritative awards from authorities, including China Enterprise Confederation, China Enterprise Directors Association, Association of China Economic Press, China Brand Convention, China Health Care Association, Asian Brand Union and the WBL, which has enhanced the brand reputation of TIENS; TIENS has established close strategic relations with famous domestic and foreign enterprises, including Oracle, IBM, Cisco, HP and China Post, which has improved the brand influence of TIENS; Tiens Group has been practicing social responsibilities by a number of social welfare activities, including relief operations for the disaster areas of the Wenchuan earthquake, aids for Yushu, donation of RMB 1 million to the China Foundation for Justice and Courage, donation of RMB 10 million to for helping children with congenital heart diseases, setting up the TIENS scholarship in association with 3 universities, organizing AIDS orphans to watch FIFA World Cup matches in South Africa, every activities has moved the society and further improved the brand reputation of TIENS. All such reasons have resulted in great enhancement of the assessed brand value of TIENS by the WBL, and the brand value was finally defined to be RMB 11.058 billion.
